I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician who qualified at the University of Leicester medical school and trained in the Midlands. I started my Consultant role at Kettering General Hospital (KGH) in 2015.
In addition to my Consultant role, I am the Director of Research & Innovation at KGH and the East Midlands Gastroenterology Speciality lead for the National Institute National Institute for Health and Care Research. I am the chair of the colorectal section for the British Society of Gastroenterology and a member of the endoscopy clinical research group.
I am an active clinical researcher. I am chief investigator for the CRUK funded COLOPREVENT study - run by the University of Leicester, as well as chief investigator of the BRACE-1 study.
I am also a chief clinical information officer at KGH and an elected councillor at the Royal College of Physicians.

In Glendon Wood hospital's modern endoscopy unit, you can have a high quality, comfortable and safe endoscopic examination.
I am an experienced JAG accredited endoscopist, and accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist. I can perform the following high quality endoscopic examinations; OGD (examination of the inner lining of gullet, stomach, and duodenum), sigmoidoscopy (rectum and sigmoid segment of the bowel) and colonoscopy (entire bowel). I can also perform polypectomy (removal of bowel polyps).
